Membership in the Epsilon Mu chapter of the Eta Sigma Alpha honor society recognizes an already achieved level of academic excellence. At our quarterly meetings we will strive to foster, and encourage, future scholastic endeavors. This may include lectures and presentations of academic merit by either our membership, or a guest speaker. We will also utilize networking to be sure our students all know about academic opportunities in our community. Students, and parents, are encouraged to share any curriculum, books, websites, etc. that they find of particular merit. Our members have already demonstrated academic prowess. We want to provide them with opportunities to both share their accumulated knowledge with others, and to learn to utilize the knowledge they have to be a leader in their community. Students have opportunities to be a good example each and every day. We want to encourage them to be aware of their ability to lead others by example. We also want to provide opportunities for them to serve as a the leader of a group. As our students approach graduation, and their full immersion into the adult world, we want them to be aware of their need for involvement as good citizens. We do not promote a specific political agenda. Rather, we only encourage students to be aware of their world and how they may personally be a voice, or hand, for improvement. We will do this by encouraging good citizenship through community service. Students will be encouraged to participate in community service opportunities where ever they find them.
